Alexandria Bay, Queensland - Unofficial Nudist Beach

	Alexandria Bay's unofficial nudist beach is situated on the eastern side of the Noosa Heads National Park. Despite its lack of legal status, this is still Queensland's most popular nude beach, sometimes attracting hundreds of bathers at the weekends. The easiest way to get to this beach is to park in the main Noosa Heads National Park car park and then take a pleasant 3km walk to the beach, continuing southwards to the main nudist section. Alternatively, you can walk north from Sunshine Beach, although this may be a steep and rocky climb in parts. You can also try to park at the end of Solway Drive but parking spaces are very limited here. ALEXANDRIA BAY NUDE BEACH REPORTS:

1. G'Day Mate, just saw your website and thought I may be able to help, I live about an hour from Alexandria bay which us locals affectionately call A-Bay, it is very beautiful from Parkedge Road which is the way I always enter the national park. It is about a 3.5k walk to the bay itself, but it is always good to go with another person as there have been attacks along the tracks by those few that are undesirables. There are no shops at A-bay itself so it is a must that you take water and a packed lunch and make a good day out of it. At A-Bay nudists and non-nudists enjoy the beach together with holiday makers walking through where the nudist are, but over all nudists and clothed persons do use the entire length of the beach. One of the other things is that on some occasions the police do drop in to see everything is above board. Besides the peace and quiet, the friendly people and the beauty of A-Bay, walking up to the headland is a must for anyone who visits A-Bay. At certain times of the year from the headland you can see below the dolphins coming through with their calves and it almost seems that they put on a show by playing and jumping out of the water. As you can most likely tell I love A-Bay and once you see it you would understand why. I have made quite a few friends on this beach and I always look forward to going. Anyway I have attached a scan of a map of A-bay and as I get photos of my beloved A-bay I will gladly send them on to you. Oh yea, great website, we need to let people know that we do have some nice beaches that like minded people can go to. Also, once a year, usually in March, they have the A-bay carnival where nudists have tug-o-war, best bum comps and other fun activities.
