Plage du Layet, France - Tolerated Nude Beach

Plage du Layet nude beach is located at Cavalière, about 6km east of Le Lavandou. Note the spelling of the name Cavalière - it is not to be confused with the larger town of Cavalaire-sur-Mer which is further towards the St Tropez peninsula. The beach is in a little cove on the Le Lavandou side of Cavalière; park near the cycle tunnel and look for the steps leading down to it. LE LAYET PLAGE NUDE BEACH REPORTS:

1. Le Layet, set apart, hidden in a cove, is a small, sheltered beach for nudists with soft sand and millpond waters. A real exception, out of the way of indiscreet onlookers. Its restaurant, Chez Jo, is first class; particularly recommended is the lobster spaghetti. - (www.lelavandou.com's own description)

3. There are hidden coves (not visible from the road) where "amateurs of integral tanning" go, like Le Layet close to Cavalière, a public but hidden nude beach where nudism is tolerated though not mandatory... - Brinnel
