Serignan Plage, France - Officially Recognised Nude Beach

Serignan Plage is yet another expansive golden sandy nude beach on France's Mediterranean coast, about 25km southeast of Beziers. There is a naturist resort here too, the Serignan Plage Nature, consisting of tents, chalets and mobile homes, along with a bar, restaurant, shop and plenty of onsite entertainment.

SERIGNAN PLAGE NUDE BEACH REPORTS:

1. This really is a great place if your idea of a holiday is simply to laze around and soak up the sun. There is no pool on site (at Serignan Plage Nature), but there's hardly a need for one since Serignan's main asset is its direct access to the Mediterranean right on its doorstep. The residents are predominantly (like us) families with youngsters there to take advantage of the wide, sandy and immaculately clean beach. We happened to go at the tail end of a French heat wave, and the sea was warm enough to swim in at both ends of the day - at eight in the morning and eight in the evening. The contrast with the brash delights of la Plage Naturiste at Cap D'Agde and the family atmosphere of Serignan couldn't be greater, where the tranquility is interrupted only by the sounds of seemingly interminable games of boules. - Craig M (read full report here)


2. Some parts of Serignan plage Nature were a bit tatty. Some of the residential caravans would have been more at home on a allotment. Having said that, the France4 accomadation was fine, tho a couple of sunloungers wouldn`t have come amiss, & the site could do with a pool. The beach was excellent. 3. Have also visited Serignan, last September, and found it to be very run down with little or no amusements. Most of the caravens seemed to be in a very poor state of repair, only the chalets seemed hospitable. If you play boules wonderful ! anything else is non obtainable. Maybe the season was ending but the brochure offered far more than the site could provide. I used it as a base, and visited Agde virtually every day. Next year we might use France4naturisme again but at a site that provides what it advertises !! - tonytucker


4. My wife and I, together with our two teenage sons, spent two weeks at the adjacent sister textile site, spending our days on the naturist beach. Having had the opportunity of exploring Serignan Plage Nature with a view to staying there this year, both my wife and I found it to have exactly what we were looking for. That is peace, traquility and a feeling of total relaxation. We have never stayed at any other naturist site, so we do have nothing to compare it with, but the rental accommodation appeared to equal that of the textile site, and the ambience was great. - levante
