Egremnoi Beach, Lefkas - Unofficial Nude Beach

For those who find Agios Nikitas beaches too crowded, or look for wild and lonely places, the island of Lefkas offers two more options for nude swimming and sunbathing: the long and deserted beaches of Egremnoi and Gialos. Both beaches are situated on the island's western coast, south from Agios Nikitas, close to the mountain village of Athani. - Greecelover.

Egremnoi is a much better beach than nearby Gialos (the sand is whiter and cleaner), but it is a little bit hard to reach. You have to go north by car from Athani, since you see the sign reading Egremni. From the sign departs a long dirt road that leads to a parking site. From the parking you have to go down 400 steps to the beach. Take water, food and something for shadow and never think of coming back before the late evening. Go left (or south) from the sunbeds and umbrellas close to the stairway and you will find a whole 2 km beach for you to walk and swim nude. - Greecelover (May 2006)

Getting down to Egremnoi beach is not easy. Although marked as a metalled road on the map, the way to Egremnoi Beach is actually a gravelled road, most of which is not accessible by car. At the end of the road there are some 300 steps down to the beach! However, it is worth the effort, if only to see the view down to the beach from the top of the steps which I can guarantee will take your breath away! The numerous boat trips that take you to Porto Katsiki from around the island provide a much pleasanter trip to the beach and you won't have to walk back up the steps at the end of the day! - Top trips for Lefkas
