Tropical Beach, Kos - Tolerated Nude Beach

Tropical Beach is located on the Greek island of Kos in the Aegean Sea, about 3km southwest of the town of Kardamena. Follow the road past the Aegean Village Hotel and then take the first path on the left where you will soon see a sign announcing "The Only Internationally Recognised Naturist Beach in Kos". This beach consists of a mixture of sand and shingle but beware of the sharp rocks at the water's edge which can make paddling tricky. There are showers, umbrellas and refreshments available.

TROPICAL NUDE BEACH KOS REPORTS:

1. I visited Tropical beach with my wife and 3 kids at the end of season on October 21, 2005. The facilities on the beach were closed (bar and showers). There were 4 nude people when we arrived. 2 people in textile walked along the beach. The beach is sandy with some pebbles; near the bar some sandbags are put on the pebbles to ease access into the sea; the bags are now opened by the surf. A little westward (less than 100 meter) the access to the sea is easier, as there are no pebbles there. From the beach we had a view over the sea to the vulcano on the island Nisyros. The beach can be easily found from the town of Kardamaina: from the boulevard leave the town to the west. The road runs parallel to the sea, passes the Aegean Village hotel (at your right hand) and a few hundred meters further a big house on the left. The first path on the left leads to the Tropical beach. The Aegean Village Hotel complex and can be seen on the middle two pictures above (looking eastwards) - Frans C, (October 2005)
