CUMBRE
DEL SOL NUDE BEACH REPORTS:
-
My wife and I have just come back from a week in Javea and visited Cumbre del Sol every day. It takes about 20 minutes by car from Javea. The beach is half textile and half nudist, but there does not appear to be any conflict. There are two beach bar/cafes here, we used the one directly on the beach (too lazy to walk to the other) this bar was a little expensive but nevertheless very good. A large beer was 3 Euros and you could get quite an assortment of simple snack type meals. This bar is in at the textile end of the beach and therefore you need to cover up to use it. The other bar/cafe seemed to have a bigger choice of food. There was some work going on at the car park to repair the sea defences but this was not really a problem. There are sunbeds and shades available for hire but are expensive at 14 Euros a day. The pebbles can be a bit hard on the feet so I would suggest visitors take some sort of beach shoes to wear.
The top photo above shows the nudist end of the beach, and the lower photo is a view towards the textile end of the beach and shows the little bar we used on the right and the car park on the left, you can also just see the other bar on the edge of the car park. We liked this area and this beach so much that we have already booked to go back in September 2007.
